Verified Reviewer |We had water damage in our downstairs for the second time in several yearsyears.
We had water damage in our downstairs several years ago and we were very pleased that they did an excellent job from start to finish. So we had no problem calling them out again.
Two gentlemen came and tore out wet carpet pad and put huge (very noisy) fans in place to dry it out. Of course they had to move all furniture to center of room out of the wet area. After 4 days of noise pollution, the same two guys came back and removed the fans saying their job was done. We waited a week to hear from Servicemaster as to their next step.
After one week I told my husband he needed to call and find out why they weren't coming back to do the next phase. They said they had done their part and we should call a carpet store to come out and put new. My husband told them the last time they took care of everything. They said they don't do that anymore.
It's our responsibility. We got a bill from Servicemaster for $2,937.00!!
It is an outrage for the work they did. I will NEVER call them again or recommend them to anyone.

Screwed over
Service master of Aurora took on a project to rebuild our home after a house fire. After months of excuses of why the estimate had never been turned into the insurance so the job could begin...
project manager got angry and terminated the contract. This family has been displaced for MONTHS and having to start over at ground zero because project manager at service masters in Aurora colo did NOTHING with this job. Only to find out from another reputable company that the estimate only takes two days to complete and turn in. NOT MONTHS.
Service Masters is a joke.
I would NOT recommend them to anyone for anything. F - rating!!!
Servicemasters and Farmers Ins. Wiped me out !!! No inventory of my Items !!! Like vultures....

Construction and Repair Expert Talks
Totally a Rip off
Found mold in a new u used guest bedroom closet. I removed the damp carpeting and I had a sense of urgency bc it was black mold and told them I needed it removed immediatey if they could give me an earlier appointment than another company I would use them due to the fact my roomate has compromised breathing issues.
They came after looking at it said the spot was too large for them to remove and that they would get a specialist for mold remediation to come the next day. I told them we needed to find source of leak otherwise what good is a dryer with continued moisture being added. They hung plastic in the closet then set up a hepa blower channeled into the closet. Next day water was puddled on closet floor and when they came I again told them your dryer is useless with continued leak, and that I was told they would come out, open the wall, find the source of the leak to determine whether to get a plumber, ac guy, roofer..., and service master wld remediate the mold.
The supervisor, said he hadn't contacted mold remediation so still cant open the wall but he guessed it was the ac drain pipe. I then contacted my adjuster to please come out sooner than he sceduled to at least check the roof since the new puddle happened after it had rained. Day3 still no mold remediator, and to top it off servicemaster had come at 9am to check the hepa filter blower n come to find at 6pm when my adjuster came out the channel to the closet wasn't even hooked up it had blown off bc was only attached by 2 pcs of tape and my roof was fine. I told them remove your equipment which they did the next day come to find out they had scratched my brand new floors in the bedrook AND the walkway through the familyroom.
They came the next day while I was at work and remmov d remoI hired a guy to come out and open the wall to find the leak source which was caused by a screw from the closet shelf into the toilet waste pipe. Grrr. I had spoken with my insurance claims agent and told her they damaged my floors. To wrap this up, They billed me almost 1500, for not doing the job, damaged my floors, and now filed a lien.
Btw my repair guy charged 800 to remove mold, fix, replace flooring. Servicemasters is a Rip OFF
I had a leak from my dish washer the first of April 2017.
The company my insurance company sent out to clean and dry the water was very nice in the beginning. I was so pleased that i hired them to do the restoration job.
Everyday is an excuse for not being here to do the job. It is now the end of July and nothing has been done!!
Everytime i call him he says "I'll be there tomorrow at 10am" then noone shows or calls! I have a lot of medical issues and have begged for them to come and at least start the work but to no avail i get the same statement.

That sounds about right for emergency service to prevent mold. Didn’t you have homeowners insurance?
