We had water damage in our downstairs for the second time in several yearsyears.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We had water damage in our downstairs several years ago and we were very pleased that they did an excellent job from start to finish. So we had no problem calling them out again.

Two gentlemen came and tore out wet carpet pad and put huge (very noisy) fans in place to dry it out. Of course they had to move all furniture to center of room out of the wet area. After 4 days of noise pollution, the same two guys came back and removed the fans saying their job was done. We waited a week to hear from Servicemaster as to their next step.

After one week I told my husband he needed to call and find out why they weren't coming back to do the next phase. They said they had done their part and we should call a carpet store to come out and put new. My husband told them the last time they took care of everything. They said they don't do that anymore.

It's our responsibility. We got a bill from Servicemaster for $2,937.00!!

It is an outrage for the work they did. I will NEVER call them again or recommend them to anyone.

That sounds about right for emergency service to prevent mold. Didn’t you have homeowners insurance?

I had water heater break in finished basement.

Carpet and drywall replaced and total billed to home owners was 12,000$. It was 20x15’ room.

Overcharged for work

When I hired this contractor I told owner Dave and his managers not to exceed our insurance coverage amount. We were billed thousands of $$$ over insurance payment allowance and when we asked for itemized bills they were non responsive. We received a letter threatening that they would put a lien on our condo ,and having excellent credit paid to keep our credit in great standing. Terrible people to deal with in my opinion.

We had water damage in our bathroom flooring, duct was unattached and insulation removed from underneath house, so it could be dried out by ServiceMaster Restore. They tore everything apart to get things dried but did not restore things to it's original condition, as they advertise they would do. Just gave me the names of General Contractors.

Pros:

Preferred solution: My home restored, as they advertise. The flooring needs to be replaced and some carpet padding replaced. Under the bath room in the crawl space insulation has to be replaced and duct work needs to be reattached to the bathroom.

User's recommendation: I would go with ServiceMaster of Seattle

Nice to know you didn't mind what they did until you lost your job. You aren't warning people to be nice. You are just as trashy as the company.

Vinny Borsca P.O.S.!!!! Service Master Restore out Riverside CA.

will charge you for work not completed, or not done at all. Close to $6,000 in insulation that was not put in my attic he charged for. Show him pictures and he claims his people did what was charged. They billed for A/C ductwork cleaning ,along with the registers and I don`t have an A/C with ducts.

I installed mini-splits!!! Lies, misleading from his employees to his secretary!!

His workers asked my wife to lie for them, if his boss calls tell him we are here until 5pm. They strolled in around 10am and left right after I got home from work about 3pm.

We had this company come into our house to clean it after we moved out. They did not clean the kitchen pantry, which was open to the kitchen but because the back door was standing open it was blocking it from view so they did not see it to clean it. If they would of washed off the back door in the inside they would of noticed the pantry. They dumped their dirty water down the kitchen sink and left clumps of mud in the sink. They threw out my rack that went with the convention microwave oven along with a small garbage pail in the bathroom. They did not clean the grout between the tiles in the kitchen. They also showed up way late. They came at 9:50 in the morning and were scheduled to be there at 9:00 and we my husband mentioned them being late the crew claimed they came at 9:15. I phoned the manager to discuss these issues and he hung up on me. This is the business in Great Falls don't use them.

Service master of Aurora took on a project to rebuild our home after a house fire. After months of excuses of why the estimate had never been turned into the insurance so the job could begin...

project manager got angry and terminated the contract. This family has been displaced for MONTHS and having to start over at ground zero because project manager at service masters in Aurora colo did NOTHING with this job. Only to find out from another reputable company that the estimate only takes two days to complete and turn in. NOT MONTHS.

Service Masters is a joke.

I would NOT recommend them to anyone for anything. F - rating!!!

Servicemasters and Farmers Ins. Wiped me out !!! No inventory of my Items !!! Like vultures....

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Servicemaster of Farwest Ut. was called and sent to my home from my Farmers Insurance adjuster Dave B. whom then left for a week vacation. Service master called and left 2 messages, one saying there supervisor has already been at my residence. I answered a call from another and we made an appointment to meet at my home. I told him that it was more important to have all contents of my fire and smoke damage 3 car garage to be counted and properly listed on an inventory list for my Insurance co. Farmers my adjuster only was here to do that on the bigger items Dave only made a small list and here on hour only, so i asked for some help form him and he informed Sevicemasters. they walked out from my garage with boxed items saying they were having them analized or cleaned. They did make a shady list of my my items. What do I do?

They are a joke!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The house I rented was hit by a tornado and our insurance company suggested Servicemaster. The problems I had were: my roof was left with huge holes and the techs that put on a temp plastic roof missed one whole side of my house! They had a crew come in and pack up my house and after I had to unpack everything, I noticed Jewlery missing. When they pulled up my kitchen floor they didn't replug my fridge in and I lost our food... they refunded me $20. They broke windows, my bathroom vanity and got paint on expensive clothing. They replaced the windows and vanity. I was surprised. They had one individual who did a lot of work by himself and I have pictures of him sitting in my living room watching tv. This is the lamest company I've ever encountered. They hired the restoration company and we trusted their word. Big mistake!!! It took them 6 months to do a tiny 2 bedroom house. When they say "See ya tomorrow!", they don't mean it!!

Totally a Rip off

Found mold in a new u used guest bedroom closet. I removed the damp carpeting and I had a sense of urgency bc it was black mold and told them I needed it removed immediatey if they could give me an earlier appointment than another company I would use them due to the fact my roomate has compromised breathing issues.

They came after looking at it said the spot was too large for them to remove and that they would get a specialist for mold remediation to come the next day. I told them we needed to find source of leak otherwise what good is a dryer with continued moisture being added. They hung plastic in the closet then set up a hepa blower channeled into the closet. Next day water was puddled on closet floor and when they came I again told them your dryer is useless with continued leak, and that I was told they would come out, open the wall, find the source of the leak to determine whether to get a plumber, ac guy, roofer..., and service master wld remediate the mold.

The supervisor, said he hadn't contacted mold remediation so still cant open the wall but he guessed it was the ac drain pipe. I then contacted my adjuster to please come out sooner than he sceduled to at least check the roof since the new puddle happened after it had rained. Day3 still no mold remediator, and to top it off servicemaster had come at 9am to check the hepa filter blower n come to find at 6pm when my adjuster came out the channel to the closet wasn't even hooked up it had blown off bc was only attached by 2 pcs of tape and my roof was fine. I told them remove your equipment which they did the next day come to find out they had scratched my brand new floors in the bedrook AND the walkway through the familyroom.

They came the next day while I was at work and remmov d remoI hired a guy to come out and open the wall to find the leak source which was caused by a screw from the closet shelf into the toilet waste pipe. Grrr. I had spoken with my insurance claims agent and told her they damaged my floors. To wrap this up, They billed me almost 1500, for not doing the job, damaged my floors, and now filed a lien.

Btw my repair guy charged 800 to remove mold, fix, replace flooring. Servicemasters is a Rip OFF

The company my insurance company sent out to clean and dry the water was very nice in the beginning. I was so pleased that i hired them to do the restoration job.

Everyday is an excuse for not being here to do the job. It is now the end of July and nothing has been done!!

Everytime i call him he says "I'll be there tomorrow at 10am" then noone shows or calls! I have a lot of medical issues and have begged for them to come and at least start the work but to no avail i get the same statement.

Worst restoration company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My family room and garage flooded and at the time I was sick and could not check on their work. They took advantage of me by moving everything in a confusing way. I found out why. Their employees stole quite a few things that added up to quite a bit of money. I filed a police report and I ended up settling for a lot less money than was owed me just to get free of them. Very bad company in the Chico/Paradise, Ca area.

You were lucky to get anything .

What proof did you have ?

How much was damaged beyond salvation when your garage flooded ?

My guess is that you haven't even seen half of that junk in the last 20+ years if some other "thieves" hadn't happened upon it already.

Every hoarder I know has some insane "theft" theory or another.

That's pretty harsh accusations towards some (or all) of the people who may be honest, hard working folks cleaning up *** other people won't touch. That's like saying everyone on your block is a flooded hoarder with delusions.
